To celebrate the warm weather, we asked Ines a few questions about her summer and travel memories.

Can you tell us about a pleasant summer memory?

"One day we were stranded on an island with my family. The sea was too rough to leave, so we had to sleep in a hut made of wood and tin. When night fell, everything shook because of the storm. We were scared, but then we laughed: it's still a good memory to tell.

Another moment that sticks in my mind is the day we came back from the beach: there was sand everywhere in the car, our hair tasted of sea salt, our towels weighed a ton. But we didn't care! We were listening to 1970s Italian hits at full volume, and we had the sunset in the rearview mirror.

On one occasion, the whole house dressed up as hippies to pick up a group of friends at the station.

Then there was the day my boyfriend had a gypsy band come to the house while I was away. They played when I came back from the supermarket.

Add to these summer memories the time I rented a house with a girlfriend. She had invited one of her great friends, a famous writer, and we became buddies from the moment we showered my dog. We were both soaking wet!

Do you have a favorite garment that always gives you confidence when you wear it?

"Wow! No piece of clothing is magic, but in summer you feel better in everything: it's in faded blue pants and a cotton shirt that I feel good! A little worn-out leather jacket that I've kept for 100 years, a black cotton Sicilian-style dress, a shirt dress or just jean shorts with a T-shirt: when you're happy and tanned, clothes are more docile!

For me, Picasso, Dali, Georgia O'Keefe, Jane Birkin, Stella Tennant, Romy Schneider, Aisha de Jaipur are good inspirations for summer.

I also bring out my plain Indian petticoats every summer: I have them in every color! I wear them with colorful earrings and sandals, or with jewels: they always make an impact in the evening."

What are your summer fashion essentials that never leave your wardrobe and that you're sure to wear all summer long?

A large blue shirt that can be worn as a dress,

Sandals and a basket,

Denim shorts or Bermuda shorts,

A navy blue sweater for evenings out or boat trips,

A straw hat,

A bandana for rolling with the window open,

Leather boots for walking or riding,

A one-piece and/or a two-piece swimsuit.

White jeans, espadrilles, and little gray ones to hang around your neck!

But I also bring a scented candle, a camera (Leica), a blanket, sunblock, books, a cartoville (depending on the destination), and a small speaker for music (mini Marshall).
