THE ORIGINS:

INES DE LA FRESSANGE

 

Model and muse of Karl Lagerfeld, ambassador of the House of Chanel, she was in 1983 the first model to sign a global contract with a luxury brand. 

Having become a French icon, Vogue magazine called Ines the “ideal Frenchwoman,” everywhere, Ines de la Fressange is recognized among fashion and media circles for her unique, recognizable style and her Parisian touch. In the USA, she is called “France’s icon of chic” or “The most Parisian of Parisians.”

 

 

The brand's story began in 1991 when Ines and the Vuitton family decided to create the brand Ines de la Fressange Paris… It all started from a vision: Parisian Chic as a global model, as a universal symbol of taste and elegance for women worldwide.

Ines de la Fressange perfectly embodies French elegance, she brings Parisian style to life, she IS the Parisian.

The brand has set itself a mission: to offer women worldwide the possibility to access this style, by providing women with the quintessence of Parisian lifestyle with a wide range of products from ready-to-wear to decoration. 

Ines relies above all on her own taste and style; she imagines and reinvents her ideal wardrobe season after season: a wardrobe created for Parisian women by a Parisian.

 

 

In 2015, a flagship store nestled on the Left Bank, between the very chic 6th and 7th arrondissements of Paris, in a very old bronze foundry, which takes on the appearance of an old workshop and where a spirit both poetic and from time immemorial floats.

Once past the doorway, we are transported into the cheerful clutter arranged like a hardware store by Ines herself, who infuses her taste and freedom into an assortment that brings together the House's collections, from ready-to-wear to leather goods, including shoes, accessories, lifestyle objects, as well as unexpected, entertaining, and accessible items.

The prototypes are hand-assembled in a workshop located at the heart of the rue de Grenelle boutique, where every customer can watch the work through glass panels that hide nothing.

 

 

Since 2016, the brand has begun a new expansion, in France and worldwide. Starting from the vibrant heart of the brand and Ines: Paris!

The brand is now beautifully represented in Paris: the flagship store on rue de Grenelle, a space at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann and at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche. Ines de la Fressange Paris is also present in beautiful mono-brand boutiques, entirely dedicated to the brand in Annecy, France and São Paulo, Brazil.

Thanks to its success, the House has also signed agreements with various representation agents and distributors worldwide: first in Italy, then in Spain/Portugal, the USA, Canada, and China.

The brand also lives through collaborations with other brands for co-signed collections, the best known being with Uniqlo, the Japanese giant, for almost 10 years now.

 

 

During her career as a "supermodel" she collaborated with most of the great Parisian fashion designers, such as Yves Saint Laurent, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Christian Dior, etc. She quickly became Karl Lagerfeld's muse and was for a long time the ambassador of the House of Chanel.

It is impossible to overlook one of Ines's most brilliant aspects: her talent for speaking to women and the immense pleasure she feels in transmitting to others, sharing her experiences, and communicating.

She thus co-wrote the cult book "La Parisienne" best-seller sold over 1 million copies worldwide, in 17 different languages. Many other books followed, all successful.

Today Ines publishes a Newsletter every week and several times a year a magazine "Le journal d’Ines" in which she shares with her readers her discoveries, her favorites, and all the topics she loves to share, as if each one became her friend and confidante.

 

Ines de la Fressange embodies a remarkable sense of simplicity and elegance; she has built a famous style that has become a true Brand Signature.

Guided by a constant concern for elegance and pleasure, it is with a relaxed and joyful approach to life and fashion that she conveys the brand's values.

Quality requirements are indeed paired with prices that remain affordable, as Ines requested: all the Lines are exclusively designed in Paris, by the Studio Ines de la Fressange Paris under the supervision of Ines herself. The Ready-to-wear pieces are created and assembled in the internal workshop Ines de la Fressange in Paris. The materials (fabrics, leathers, etc.) are carefully selected by the specialists of Ines de la Fressange Paris. Finally, all productions are carried out by expert workshops, made in limited quantities, most of which are produced in France and Europe.
